27 Jan What Is God’s Will?

Thought for the Day: Who am I praying for?
A question we often encounter is simple: “What is God’s will for my life?” Throughout the centuries, this is a question that followers of Jesus have asked many times. Once we trust Him, it is natural to wonder what comes next. We are left with that question, “What is God’s will for my life?”
In the first Letter of John, we are told that praying obediently IS God’s will for each of us. Jesus Himself taught that the Ten Commandments are summarized when we:
1 – Love God
1A – Love our neighbors.
When we pray for our friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors we know that God hears what we say. As John explained in his letter, “if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.” Simply put, whenever we pray for others, we are following God’s will for our life!
He wants us to pray for the people who have been placed in our lives. We don’t need to have fancy solutions or perfect answers. Instead, we simply need to take a moment today and pray for the people we know. While life may not be perfect when we live according to His will, praying obediently allows each of us to take a breath and quiet our soul.
In Christ,
