Generations

Generations

Genesis 4:24
β€œSeth had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord.”

On Sundays after worship I drive around and find a nice little spot to sit and reflect about the words that were given to me! My husband and children stay home most weeks and allow me the hour to myself!

Sometimes I feel guilty taking that extra hour and 20 minutes, but it has been vital to my life these days!

Today’s topic was about Generations and the decisions of your ancestors. I’m going to try and not get all deep with you guys!! But I might! I will say this! Our past ancestors, the generations before us (that might mean your parents, grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, siblings, or earlier) their decisions THEY made can inspire us, but they do not define us! The sins of our past generations cannot define who WE are! YOU CAN BREAK ANY CYCLE WITH ONE DECISION EVERYDAY!!

πŸ€”I wonder if I will be a good Mother because my examples of parents were not the best.
πŸ€”I wonder if I can take care of my grandmother the way she needs to be taken care of, because she took care me for so many years. πŸ€”I wonder if I was meant to be a leader, because I was never told I could be!!
πŸ€”I wondered if I would go to college because as a foster child sometimes your opportunities are limited.
πŸ€”I wonder if I will ever quit smoking, because so many of my family members couldn’t!

NO MORE WONDERING!!! I am not defined by their choices! I am me! What I choose to do is all on me! πŸ’‘πŸ™Œ
